ABC Chart: Antecedent-Behaviour-Consequence

Introduction

The Antecedent-Behaviour-Consequence (ABC) chart helps identify factors that can trigger or reinforce acute behavioural incidents. This information provides basis for developing a plan to help the person with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behaviours that challenge. An illustrative example is included.
